Thinking Out Loud...and Mary Kay?

Yeah...so I suck at blogging. Sorry people.

Life is...uh...hectic.

Seriously, how is it March 7th and I haven't blogged since Leap Day?

I think I'll blame Leap Day for my failures here. It's always fun to blame arbitrary events for my shortcomings.

Anywho, I was thinking that maybe I should stop thinking out loud..or in print...whatever. But then, I thought that would be less enjoyable than doing so. So here we are.

I'm thinking about trying to sell Mary Kay now. I first used Mary Kay as a teenager so I've been using it for around 15 years. I've always thought that you have to really believe in a product in order to effectively sell it. I do believe in Mary Kay's line of products. I'm particularly fond of the skin care. When I use it consistently, my skin gets clearer every time.

Oh, and have I mentioned that I had an esthetician tell me she noticed wrinkles beginning to form under my eyes? Gah. I'm 29. I don't need to hear that ridiculousness (so what if it's true?).

So maybe I could use a good discount on my own Mary Kay. And a few extra dollars could certainly help our family.

I need your input. What do you think? Would you be interested in purchasing from me? I'd be willing to offer special discounts to my blog readers on my own MK website if I do begin the business.

Thanks in advance for your help!

  1. I don't wear much makeup, but I say that if you always buy it anyways, you may as well sign up to sell it. I sell Scentsy and am so glad I do because if I didn't, I would be broke from buying so much!!!!

  2. worth it just for the discount in my opinion. of course you need to order at least $400 retail ($200 wholesale) every three months in order to keep a %50 discount. i give away a lot on my blog and as gifts....but i use a lot too. i don't get out there and try really hard to sell it, i have a button on my sidebar and that's it, it takes people to my MK page and all the work is done for me. i just collect the money....which hasn't been a lot.

  3. I've never tried Mary Kay... but I am starting to get tiny lines at my eyes too. :( I'll try anything once.

And you don't suck at blogging. I have friends who post 3 times a year. THEY suck at blogging! :)

  7. You should sell Perfectly Posh! It's a brand new company so you are able to get in early and be on the frontline of the company! Plus, it's not saturated like alot of the other direct sales companies are!

  8. You should definitely sell Mary Kay! The company will teach you everything you need to know. I've been wearing Mary Kay for almost 10 years, and have been a MK consultant for only 2 months now. I have found that in this business, the products sell themselves! It's less selling, more networking...building relationships helps to increase customer base. I also recently recruited a new beauty consultant. As of May, I will be officially a Senior Beauty Consultant...I'm so excited! As you can see, it doesn't take long to advance and make money in this business. This is such a rewarding opportunity and I would encourage any one who is contemplating starting a Mary Kay business to at least try it out. You have nothing to lose, more to gain!
